Lets introduced with the concept of
REPLAY. Description about the Run Settings available in Quick Test
Professional:
- Now lets start the REPLAY script to confirm that created test script has been recorded perfectly and properly or not.
- Just click on the Button with the Name 'Run'.
- Now you will see the Dialog box Run which permitted you to specify the address / location where you want to save the executed session results.
- Default path will be displayed by this option and and the name of folder where the result is stored . By Default all result will be stored in Test Folder. New sub folder can be created named as RESn.. last n will work like variable and incremented with each run result.
- If you like, then you can also accept the default settings or specify a folder of your type of choice.
- Temporary result folder option of this run will saved the results in such temporary folder. This option will overwrites any type of results previously saved in that folder.
- Its suggested that while creating this test script, choose the option temporary and once the script is baseline, we can use the option of new folder.
- What we do, we sill definitely use the temporary folder options and the Click OK. Now QTP has entered in the run mode.
- Now QTP will start the script executing the steps one by one, top to bottom.
- On QTP window, we can see a yellow marker pointing at the step where is currently being run.
- During the time of Replay, The script will performed exactly the same 6 Steps that were initially recorded on the first time. That will prof, that there is any issue or not.
- Now finally Test Results will be shown.
